STEVES CYCLES

STOP GETTING SCREWED

Steve’s Cycles has an unusual quality for a powersport dealership – repeat customers.

Steve’s Cycles has an unusual quality for a powersport dealership – repeat customers.

“Steve’s pulled through for us,” exclaimed Wendi, after being refused service at major dealerships in the area due to the age of her ATV. “We’ll be making this our shop of choice!”

With a mission of being the best community resource in the motorcycle and offroad industry, Steve’s Cycles has paved a different path from the high powered vehicle sellers that pepper the Phoenix Valley.

Since relocating to its current location on the Main Street of Mesa in 1984, customers have come in from all over the state to glean knowledge from the 90+ years of industry experience sitting behind the parts counter and the 200+ years of experience turning wrenches in the service bays. “We’ve seen just about everything,” says Danny, a veteran technician with the shop for over 25 years.

But there is still room for growth. And when a 12,000 sqft warehouse went on sale next door, Steve saw an opportunity to bring in new ownership to sell recreational vehicles with the same level of customer experience that brought generations of people to Steve’s Cycles.

Along came Mitch Bell, a seasoned business leader with over four decades of success scaling local brands in the skilled trades. It’s hard to argue whether there was someone better suited for the task.

To ensure success, Mitch acquired a vanguard in the offroad space, Strictly UTV, to round out the skillsets of the new dealership. With experts in design and customization of offroad vehicles, Strictly UTV has built a cult following of enthusiasts who value their time riding above all else.

The combined companies now cover two neighboring locations that include ten service bays, over 10,000 sqft of retail space and a full lineup of used Motorcycles, ATVs and UTVs.

The mission has and continues to be serving the community. It's a novel idea for most dealerships, who see the world through the lens of short-term profits. The real value isn’t in how much you can get a customer to pay in one visit, but whether they’ll come back at all. They’ve been coming back to Steve’s for four decades, and it’s easy to see why.

You’ll still find the best parts and service people in the business on the Main Street of Mesa. No sketchy sales tactics. No price gauging. No lemons. Just a good old fashioned community of people that like to talk about Motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and anything else with a motor and wheels. Steve’s Cycles and Strictly UTV are built by riders, for riders. Find out for yourself what a difference that makes.
